The 15 per cent Bahrainization rate in the construction sector would be cut to 10 per as part of a parliamentary proposal approved by the Services Committee.
According to the Bahrain Tribune, the move comes as part of the panel revision of the problems of contracting firms in finding local manpower to work in their projects, while the Ministry of Labour warned that such decision may lead to the sacking of thousands of Bahraini workers.
