Consumer prices in Kuwait fell 0.1 percent last November compared to the previous month, spurred by flurry of sales by merchants attempting attract consumers.
Other items for which prices fell included mineral water, clothing, household goods and electronic products, which dropped from 0.3 to 1.7 percent.
The cost of public transportation also fell according to the report, falling by 0.7 percent.
The cost of food, however, rose slightly by 1.8 percent during the same period, according to a press release by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Planning on Monday, reported KUNA.
Additionally, the prices of furniture and floor coverings rose by some 0.9 percent.
The price of books and stationary items also rose, each by 0.7 percent.
