Deutsche Bank today celebrates its 30th anniversary from when it first opened an office in the Kingdom of Bahrain.  The office has primarily been focussing on Global Transaction Banking, Private Wealth Management and Asset Management services, and over the past three decades Deutsche Bank has been involved in numerous high profile transactions in the region.

Having been present in the Middle East since 1914, Deutsche Bank is in the process of further expanding its business in the region.  As part of this overall strategy, the bank opened full service branches in both Dubai and Riyadh earlier this year. Furthermore, Deutsche Bank will enhance its banking services to its clients in Bahrain.

Juergen Fitschen, Member of Deutsche Bank’s Group Executive Committee and Global Head of Regional Management commented: ”Over the past eighteen months, Deutsche Bank has been actively increasing and developing its franchise in the Middle East.  With our continued presence in the Kingdom of Bahrain we are demonstrating our long-term commitment to the country and the entire region.  We look forward to further expanding our platform in the country.”

In addition, Deutsche Bank announces the appointment of Nadim Zaman as Head of Deutsche Bank AG Representative Office in Manama, Bahrain, with immediate effect.  Nadim Zaman will retain his current role as Head of Global Transaction Banking for the Middle East & North Africa alongside his new role.  He has been with Deutsche Bank since 1994.  Nadim Zaman will succeed Hans-Juergen Junghenn, who will retire from Deutsche Bank.
