President of the Department of Civil Aviation Dubai Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al-Maktoum has inaugurated the Gold Shop at Dubai Duty Free.

Located in the center of the duty free operation in Sheikh Rashid Terminal, the circular-designed shop covers an area of 23 square meters and features a range of 18, 22 and 24 carat gold.

With gold sales already showing an increase of 15 percent since the opening of the shop in mid-September, Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free, Colm McLoughlin, expects Gold sales to continue growing. “Gold is a leading category and now with this new attractive shop, which is the first shop visible to departing passengers, we expect sales to continue to grow even further in the last quarter of this year.” — (menareport.com)
