An Egyptian oil company has been awarded a lucrative tender in Libya. Egypt's Minister of Petroleum Sameh Fahmi has announced that the Egyptian Petrojet will set up the pipeline that would link wells in the south of Libya to its north coast ports.
Five foreign firms competed with the Egyptian company on the project, which is expected to cost 99 million euros, Fahmi added. "Work will be starting in November (this year)," he said.
Petrojet also won another tender announced by the Saudi Aramco to install and manufacture an oil platform in the Saudi area on the Red Sea. (menareport.com)
