Egyptian-Indonesian double taxation avoidance accord signed
The Head of the General Taxes Authority, Talaat Hammam, stated that Egypt signed five bilateral double taxation avoidance accords in 2000 and 2001, reported Al-Ahram . These agreements were signed with Bulgaria, Holland, Yemen, Singapore and Malta. This month, the Egyptian Advisory Council approved a double taxation avoidance agreement with Indonesia. Talaat, stressed the importance of these agreements, whereby they play a key-role in alluring foreign investments into Egypt. In addition, these accords open new opportunities for Egyptian exporters with the countries that have signed the agreements noted above. — (menareport.com)
