Fujitsu Siemens Computers beats competition to secure top spot for desktop sales in Egypt
Fujitsu Siemens Computers has beaten its competition to clinch the number one position for desktop sales in Egypt during Q307. The leading European IT manufacturer has experienced exponential year on year (YoY) growth of 472* per cent during Q307 compared to Q306, capturing 11* per cent of Egypt’s desktop market share, while the market grew 6* per cent.
According to IDC preliminary figures for the third calendar quarter 2007, Fujitsu Siemens Computers outperformed the market to achieve above-average growth for its desktops and notebooks. The company captured 21 per cent of the market in the notebook segment with a YoY growth of a staggering 683* per cent, and an overall 15* per cent in the desktop and notebook market and YoY growth of 583* per cent.
“We are delighted with our results in Egypt, and can attribute this growth to the collective efforts of our local presence and partners,” said Sascha Haake, Sales Director Volume Middle East, Fujitsu Siemens Computers.

We will continue to expand and offer our customers and partners competitive and unique products which are designed to help them increase productivity and ensure their success.”
Haake added: “Egypt is a fast growing and promising market in the MENA region. Our growth is testimonial to a market driven mainly by strong demand for notebooks and PC’s and increased purchasing among small and medium-sized businesses.”
Fujitsu Siemens Computers has grown 45 per cent in MEA and has been ranked among the regions top desktop and notebook vendors by IDC for Q307.
