Gulf Air is to re-instate twice weekly flights to Zanzibar from Abu Dhabi and Muscat on Gulf Traveler, its new all economy full service airline from June 18.

The re-introduction of flights between Zanzibar and Gulf Air's two gateways in the Gulf will also give passengers from East Africa excellent connection opportunities to many other destinations on the Gulf Air network.

Gulf Air is subject to ongoing optimization and expansion, with a focus on providing daily flights to all key destinations, and operating on a city pairs basis out of the closest departure gateway.

Gulf Air was founded in 1950. It is owned by the governments of Bahrain, Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and is the only truly pan Gulf airline in the region. The airline's network stretches from Europe to Asia and covers 43 cities in 32 countries. The fleet is one of the most modern in the Middle East and comprises 30 aircraft. — (menareport.com)
