The volume of trade exchange between Iran and South Korea will hit US$4 billion by the end of 2004. The Persian-language daily Abrar-e Eqtesadi on Wednesday quoted

Deputy Head of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines for International Affairs Fereydoun Entezari as saying that Iran's export to South Korea amounted to $1.8 billion.

He said that Iranian exports to South Korea showed a 38 percent increase in terms of value compared to the similar period of the previous year, adding the boost was due to an

increase in export of crude oil. He noted that South Korea's export to Iran reached $1.7 billion last year, say a 44 percent rise compared to the figures of the previous year. (menareport.com)
