The Kuwaiti Trade and Industry Ministry said on Saturday it was implementing a plan to protect investors and clients who buy real estate properties abroad from Kuwaiti firms, through keeping deposits by such companies.
Undersecretary Rasheed Al-Tabtabie, was quoted as saying by Kuna, that companies working in that field are requested by the ministry to deposit sums and bank guaranties to compensate clients against fraud or bubble deals.
He was speaking after the inauguration of the "Elite Real Estate Cos. Exhibition" in Kuwait.
