Lufthansa is extending its route network to the Gulf region: from the 2nd May, 2006 the airline is offering three weekly direct flights from Frankfurt to Bahrain, continuing to Abu Dhabi. The flights operated by three-class A330-300 will leave each Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 13.10 hrs local time from Frankfurt, and arrive in Bahrain at 20.00 hrs local time. On the same day, the flight will leave Bahrain at 20.50 hrs local time and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 22.50 hrs local time. The return flights will leave Abu Dhabi every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 00.15 local time and arrive in Bahrain at 00.20 local time. The flight follows on from Bahrain at 01.20 local time to Frankfurt at 06.20 local time. These timings enable travellers to make optimal connections with flights to popular destinations in Europe and the GCC region.
