Lebanon's Middle East Airlines (MEA) has become a new operator of the Airbus A330-200, following the delivery of two aircraft leased from International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) this month. A third Airbus A330 is due to be delivered in June.

Two Rolls-Royce Trent 700s power each of MEA’s Airbus A330s. MEA has already begun non-stop services from its Beirut base to Paris and London, and also plans to use its Airbus A330s on some routes within the Middle East and on services to Africa.

Each Airbus A330 seats 42 passengers in business class and 208 in economy. Each passenger has their own video screen for in-flight entertainment. Airbus is a global company with design and manufacturing facilities in France, Germany, the UK, and Spain as well as subsidiaries in the US, China and Japan. — (menareport.com)
