MTC Group will be presenting a case study next week covering the initial 3G deployments in the region as well the next steps needed to further develop the latest technology.
MTC will be participating as Platinum Sponsors at ARABCOM 2006, which is being held in Emirate Towers Dubai on April 11 and 12 and has attracted major telecom and government players from throughout the region.
Dr. Marwan Al Ahmadi, Chief Strategy Officer at MTC Group said of the company’s decision to share its experiences and expectations with the rest of the industry, “We are very keen on supporting the mobile telecom industry in the region and developing mobile technologies that will lead to excellent services and networks.”
MTC Group’s own deployment of 3G in Bahrain, as well as value added services such as TV streaming and Video Conferencing, has provided it with an insight into what is needed in the future regarding latest 3G technology and services, Al Ahmadi added.
MTC will have a booth at the event showcasing its latest MTC commissioned MENA report that covers the Socio-Economic Benefits of Mobile Communications across 18 countries. The report includes an assessment of the impact of competition in Arab mobile markets, case studies on Egypt and Iraq, and an AC Nielson survey covering Morocco, Lebanon, KSA, Tunisia, Jordan and Bahrain.
