The Iraqi oil ministry has decided, as of next Saturday, to increase the supply of fuel to local gas stations. By this, every car owner will be allowed to buy 50 liters instead of 40 liters. A source at the company which distributes oil products in the country said that all petrol stations were informed about the new decision.

The source, according to Alfourat newspaper, has indicated that all gas
stations owners are committed to the prices set by the government, say
20 Dinar per 1 liter of unleaded fuel and 50 Dinar per 1 liter of leaded fuel.

To prevent possible cases of corruption , the source warned the car owners not to pay extra amounts for getting additional quantities of fuel. He revealed that the oil ministry will pump sufficient oil quantities to all stations and increase the working hours of the stations in order to put an end to the sale of fuel in the black market.
