New venture expands online advertising market in the Arab World
NetAdvantage organized an event at royal Mirage, Dubai, marking its official launch in the Emirate on Sunday, November 30, 2003.
People from all segments of the online business, advertisers and web publishers, attended to share the first steps with NetAdvantage indicating the beginning of a new era in the online advertising industry in the Arab world.
Online advertising in the Arab world is gearing up for major developments and growth with the launch of Dubai Internet City based NetAdvantage the first online media house in the region. Bringing together more than 100 top websites from across the region, along with an extensive investment in people, technology, and offices in DIC, Riyadh, Jeddah, Cairo, and Amman, NetAdvantage is offering advertisers advantages and differentiators of the online medium with comparable reach and diversity to traditional media.
A fully owned subsidiary of Riyadh-based National Technology Group (NTG), NetAdvantage provides online advertisers and publishers with services and solutions for the Internet and mobile industry in the Arab world that enables them to maximize their return on investments and rapidly grow their businesses.
The number of Internet users in the Arab world has approximately tripled in the past three years growing from around four million users in 2001 to 12 million users today, and their unique demographics are finally catching the eyes of big advertisers.
In the past three years, the total online advertising expenditure in the Arab world grew from less than $250,000 to more than six million dollars last year. Despite this growth, online advertising share out of the total advertising expenditure in the Arab world, estimated at $ 3.1 billion remains insignificant. NetAdvantage expects this number to grow by multiple folds in the next five years.
“NetAdvantage is part of NTG’s vision to enable online business models in the Arab world,” says engineer and Chairman of NTG, Mohammad Al-Balla. “By making this investment, we are able to offer advertisers reputable, reliable, and efficient advertising and marketing opportunities on the Internet in the Arab world and provide leading Internet websites with the resources and support they need to grow their revenue,” he added.
NetAdvantage portfolio of websites includes more than 100 selected premium partners covering the spectrum of market leading flagship portals, thematic specialized sites, online editions of reputable media, and popular consumer websites, search engine advertising, and targeted email databases from across the region. NetAdvantage offers advertisers a wide range of products and services including banner space, targeted email campaigns, online promotions, search engine-based advertising, and mobile SMS advertising. — (menareport.com)
