The Tunisian minister of industry and small and medium enterprises granted a British company “Reap Tunisia” and a Tunisian company (ETAP) a permit to prospect for oil in the gulf of Gabes in the Tunisian South.
Tunisia Online News reported that the prospect permit of to the two companies stretches out on an area of 3,352 square kilometers, off the shore of Gabes. Currently, Tunisia imports more oil, than it produces, reaching last year a total of 1,480 million dinars worth of oil products exports.
