Piling work for the construction of the prestigious Sky Tower, to be the tallest residential and commercial building in Abu Dhabi and the 15th tallest worldwide, was recently begun, according to an announcement by the Sorouh Real Estate company.
A Dh28 million contract for the execution of the piling and foundation works has been awarded to Al Habtoor-STFA Soil Group L.L.A, reported Khaleej Times. Piling work at the Sky Tower is scheduled for completion in approximately 18 weeks.
"The commencement of the piling work marks an important step in the development of the project. Selecting renowned contractors to undertake this task confirms Sorouh's commitment to adopt the best available global standards in the implementation of all our projects,” stated Mounir Haidar, CEO of Sorouh Real Estate.
