Ajman Hotel Business Group has recently organised the first Football Championship among the Ajman hotels held at Mala3b - Ajman Sports Complex. The event was sponsored by Ajman Chamber of Commerce. Football enthusiasts from six hotels took part in this very interesting match with every team vying for victory.

Kempinski Ajman Hotel won the first championship after a strong competition with Ajman Chamber team on the penalty shoots. Hundreds of Ajman hotels employees enjoyed the football championship and cheered for their respective teams.

Iftikhar Hamdani, General Manager, Ramada Ajman said: "We would like to express our gratitude to the Ajman Hotel Business Group and Ajman Chamber of Commerce for organising such a healthy event. Due to our busy schedules and the demands of modern day living, it is hard to squeeze time for fitness. But we know how essential it is to maintain fitness. By participating in such activities, the hotel employees got a chance to bust stress, relaxed and enjoyed time with the hotel fraternity."

Mohammed Al Janahi, Assistant General Manger of Ajman Chamber of Commerce awarded trophies to the winning teams and prizes to the individual players. During the ceremony he mentioned that Ajman Chamber will continue to support similar sporting events in the future and praised the role of Ramada Ajman for hosting the first championship.

Mr Jannahi added the football championship not only extended excellent activity to all, but gave them a great networking opportunity. He said: "If held regularly it will help us lose or maintain our weights, keep us mentally fit and put our energies to good use." He also advised Sami Al Jallaf, the Head of Hotel Business Group to host more sports events such as cricket and basketball this season.

Other guests at the ceremony included Jean Pierre Simon, Regional General Manager Northern Emirates; Nicholas Labhart, Hotel Manger Kempinski Ajman and Mr. Sharmajee, General Manager Ajman Beach Hotel. The Ajman Chamber of Commerce were represented by Mr. Salem Al Suwaidi and Mr Mohammed Al Muairi.
