Samsung Electronics, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, today announced its partnership with leading magazine publisher Condé Nast to create a brand new online buzz campaign for the SAMSUNG MV800 camera. The campaign, entitled ‘Street Style Looks, Caught on Samsung’, brings together premium fashion and technology to capture the styles of today and tomorrow from every angle.
Samsung and Condé Nast, the publishing elite behind Glamour, Vanity Fair, Details and GQ, have recruited four premier fashion photographers to encapsulate emerging trends in contemporary street style in four fashion capitals across the world, within photos taken with the SAMSUNG MV800. The photographers include Jamie Baker from London, Jessie Parks from Rome, European-renowned Kelley Gudahl Photography in Paris and World Red Eye Photographers from New York.
Their images will be uploaded to a new dedicated Samsung Tumblr blog that will showcase the newest and most creative fashions for the winter season. Each look will be displayed in a hi-tech graphic interchange format (GIF), creating a fresh and dynamic portal for viewing each look from all angles. Through the new custom-designed Samsung Tumblr profile caughtonsamsung.tumblr.com, which will be updated daily with fresh fashion shots, Condé Nast and Samsung are celebrating the best in street chic through exceptional photography and cutting-edge technology.
Along with being invited to explore the latest fashion content from around the world, consumers can also upload their own ‘Street Style Looks, Caught on Samsung’ photos to the Tumblr page. They will be able to become part of the trend-spotting community alongside Samsung’s top fashion photographers, getting up close and personal with today’s cutting edge global fashions.
Furthermore, after capturing the season’s fashion trends and uploading their photos online, users can then make their own animated GIF image on the Tumblr page. Three shots can be combined together to show a selection of images and the latest styles from all angles, all in one go. The campaign will drive a digital hub of user-driven content that is continuously refreshed, updated, and always bringing what’s current and new to the forefront of the fashion world.
