QAPCO’s net profits up in 2003
The Qatar Petrochemical Company (Qapco) recorded a net profit of 525 million Qatari riyals ($144 million) for the first nine months of 2003, up QR 65 million compared to earnings from the entire 2002.
QAPCO was established in 1974 as a joint multinational venture to utilize the associated and non-associated ethane gas from petroleum production in line with the industrialization plan of the State Qatar. It is one of the companies located in the Mesaieed Industrial City (MIC), producing fertilizers, steel, refined petroleum products and natural gas liquids. — (menareport.com)
