Officials from the Labour Department at Qatar's Ministry of Civil Service Affairs and Housing have started a series of snap inspections at work sites, company premises and accommodation including labour camps to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
According to Khaleej Times, reminders have been circulated by the department in recent weeks regarding medical facilities for workers on site and in labour camps. Companies with between 100 and 500 workers have to have a male nurse on duty.
