Qatar: Rents to drop

Rents for low and middle-end properties are projected to be corrected in the short-term while those for high-end properties would remain high for the time being, a report on Qatar's real estate sector has indicated.

 

According to the Peninsula, Kuwait-based Global Investment House (GIH) said in the its latest report that the residential sector is the most active among all the segments of Qatar's property market. According to the report, the residential category is capturing 87 per cent of the total completed buildings in 2004, while the non-residential segment accounted for the remaining 13 per cent.
