Qtel launches barQ ADSL Business

Qtel announced Wednesday the launch of barQ ADSL Business, its latest high-speed Internet offering for small and medium sized companies in Qatar.  

 

barQ ADSL Business is based on the broadband communication – Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) and has an Internet rate that is up to 20 times faster than an ordinary dial-up connection with speeds ranging from 256 kbps, 512 kbps and 1 Mbps.  

 

The services of barQ ADSL have expanded to reach 10,000 subscribers on a residential level. 

 

barQ ADSL Business caters to small and medium sized businesses and enables businesses to have multiple ways of communicating over a single connection by using the Internet, the telephone and fax on the same line.  

 

Executive Director of Wireline Services, Khalil Al-Emadi said, “We decided to introduce barQ ADSL businesses to deliver the performance and reliability demanded in today’s business environment.  

 

“Qatar is undergoing a lot of changes and is developing at a very fast rate. To meet the growing demands of the economy, there has been a burgeoning number of small and medium sized companies that have sprung up.
