According to <i>Al-Zzaman</i> newspaper, the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity announced that it had completed major steps in rebuilding the electricity system in Falluja. A senior source in the Center Electricity Distribution General Authority reported that the ministry's companies had rebuilt the electricity system in the following suburbs of Falluja: Al-Andalos, Al-Dhobbat, Al-Jolan, Al-Shaab, Al-Jumhoria, Al-Shuhadaa, Al-Mualemin, Al-Wehda and others.
The source added that the rebuilding activities included fixing the electricity network, installing wires, replacing damaged generators and re-lightening. The source added that the city has suffered from heavy military operations which requires a lot of time to repairing the local electricity system.
