Saudi Arabia's Eastern Cement Company has signed an agreement with a number of Saudi and Yemeni businessmen to set up a large cement factory in the Yemeni city of Mukla. According to SPA, the estimated cost of the project is $200 million.
The Arab Yemen Cement Company, with a capital of $100 million, will supply clinker and ordinary cement to satisfy the region’s requirements. The factory will have a production capacity of 1.2 million tons per year.
