Dr. Ahmed Al-Hakami, Saudi Deputy Minister of Economy and Planning, estimated at SR 15 billion the Saudi women's savings in the Saudi banks. The deputy minister added that these savings are simply frozen in the banks and are not being invested in any sector.
Meanwhile, Abdullah Al-Alami, President of Alami Consulting, revealed that only 4%-6% of the Saudi women have joined the local labor force. He added that 100,000 Saudi female university graduates are currently searching for jobs.
