Ras Al-Khaimah Khaimah Gas Commission (RAKGAS) announced a gas find in the onshore ‘Well C' on January 22, although it is not yet certain that the find is commercially viable. This is the second one source of gas so far discovered in the emirate of Ras Al-Khaimah, one of seven in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The other is the Saleh offshore well, which is close to dry.
Ras Al-Khaimah's gas reserves are estimated at 1.1 tcf. RAKGAS, formed in 1984, deals in the processing of offshore gas produced in Saleh and Bukha fields at its LPG Processing Plant in Khor Khwair. — (menareport.com)
