Sorouh starts work on Shams Abu Dhabi
Sorouh Real Estate Monday started construction work at the site of its flagship project, Shams Abu Dhabi, with a groundbreaking ceremony for its 83-storey, 379-metre high Sky Tower slated to be the tallest building in the capital.
Shams Abu Dhabi, Sorouh's launch project, is located on Reem Island, 300 metres across from the northeastern shore of Abu Dhabi city.
The Sky Tower, the world's 15th tallest building according to current ranking, is part of The Gate District of Shams Abu Dhabi. Apart from the Sky Tower, the Gate District will include seven buildings that will offer a broad choice of commercial, residential and retail opportunities.
Sky Tower will be almost equally divided into residential apartments on the top floors and Grade ‘A’ commercial space on the lower floors. In terms of the residential portion of the tower, one and two bedroom apartments will gradually give way to three and four bedroom layouts on the succeeding floors….with luxury duplex apartments located on the topmost floors. Entrances to both the residential and commercial floors of the Sky Tower will be separated and on opposite sides of the building, with underground and above ground parking levels linked directly with the main lobbies.
