The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Thursday that as of March 2004 there were 74 operating hotels in the Palestinian territories, offering 2,897 rooms with a total of 6,258 beds.
Based on the main findings of its Hotel Survey for the first quarter of this year, the PCBS added that during the said period, the total number of guests in Palestinian hotels reached 18,743, say a drop of 64.6% compared with the same quarter of 1999.
Concerning number of nights, PCBS said that the total number was 56,831. It declined by 63.5% compared with the corresponding quarter in the year 1999. (menareport.com)
