The National Road GP1 Project, which started in September 2003, is scheduled to be completed at the beginning of this month. The large-scale project includes extensive infrastructure works with an estimated cost of TD22.000.000. The works will include enlargement of the road lanes, its lightening and pavements’ development.
La Presse reports that the infrastructural works on the road also include the laying of sewer pipes and the renovation of the existing potable water pipes. Apart from all these works, the project also includes the development of green areas on the sides of the road. The GP1 road connects Sousse and Borjine through M’saken and consists of 18 Kms.
