Work to turn Hawar Islands into a world-class tourist destination is expected to start by the end of the current year. Area MP Mohammed Al Dossari told the GDN that Hawar Islands were the perfect place to have recreational facilities, such as new hotels, resorts and chalets.
"A private tourist company has been contracted to carry people by speed boats to Hawar, since there are no plans to build a causeway to the island," Dossari conveyed.
The Islands are a group of islands situated between Qatar and Bahrain in the Persian Gulf.
