A Chinese company is willing to establish a factory for car assembly in the Free Area of Aden and to open branches in the industrial areas planned to be established in inner Yemeni governorates, Yemen's Minister of Industry and Trade Dr. Khaled Sheikh stated.

"We discussed the issue with the Chinese company, and concerned agencies in Aden, and were requested to facilitate all procedures for the implementation of the factory," he pointed out, according to SABA.

In addition, actions are currently being taken to establish an iron factory in Lahj Governorate with a production capacity of 600 thousand tons per year. The factory, whose cost would total $65 million, will be funded by a Yemeni-German capital, and another factory will be opened by the second half of this year with a production capacity of 100 thousand tons per year, the Yemeni minister added.
