The al Sharq Company managed by the Syrian actor Ayman Zaydan has begun artwork by producing its first series Hanin (Nostalgia) in which Zaydan plays a starring role under the direction of Basel al Khatib.

“The project was a challenge for us and its theme really touched us so we set out with enthusiasm to implement it. I hope this series will be the first in a chain of new projects in which we present various suggestions regarding the contemporary series social genre. I admit that the idea was initiated by me and then Basel al Khatib scripted it in collaboration with his wife Diana Jabbour in an inciting manner,” Zaydan told the daily Tishreen.

The star denied that he was scared of becoming the victim of repetition and elongation. “If you are offering a true work, there will be no room for fear because this work will reach people. The episodes of this series won’t exceed 15, which means that they are not long. They are based on a sad and painful poem through which we tackle the sadness of a defeated group and follow up their destiny and daily suffering,” he said.

The series tells about a theatrical director who has a romantic relationship with an actress but this is not the main topic as there is other information and direct daily concerns, which appear to have resulted due to many causes. These include the economic situation, travel dreams and squabble over legacy with all these problems available as web surrounding the main story of the series.

“After we wrap up this work, we will begin early next month shooting a new series on Holako scripted by Riyadh Esmat and directed by Basel al Khatib,” said Zaydan – Albawaba.com
