The head of the journalist association Ashraf Zaki denied rumors that the Egyptian mega star Adel Iman had died. The rumor was spread mostly via cell phone text messages.
Ashraf Zaki said, “Thank God” Adel Imam is alive and well.
The great comedian experienced some health problems, but his doctors said they were only minor.
Imam’s son, director Rami Imam was furious over the rumors. After a co-worker phoned him in the middle of the night to inquire about his father’ health, Rami Imam started calling journalist to deny the rumors.
Adel Imam just finished filming “Hasan And Marqas,” written by Yousif Maati and directed by his son Rami Imam. The great Egyptian actor Omar Al Sharif will also star in the film.
The film, produced by ‘Good News’ Production Company, will be screened this July.
The film is a comedy about relations between the Muslim and Aqbat (Egyptian Christian) communities.
