UAE singer Ahlam is one of the rare Gulf women who reached success in their singing career in such a short period of time. It took Ahlam nine years to be known in the Arab world since she started in 1995. Ahlam tried her best not let any journalist attend her wedding to the former rally driver Mubarak Alhajiri but still some fake pictures appeared and she had to deny that they were hers.

Now after Ahlam gave birth to her first child, Fahed, she tries to conceal him from any paparazzi and tries to imitate Michel Jackson style when he puts masks on his childrens faces so no one could identify them.

The reason as we think is different for Ahlam and possibly she is not showing her child because she is afraid of envy. Ahlam has revealed that she refuses to have any photographs of her newborn baby boy to be taken by the press. The refusal came after a number of close friends of Ahlam, who are journalists, expressed their desire to have photographs taken of her son and posting them in different magazines and newspapers.

Ahlam stressed that she will make it a point to keep her son away from the spotlight and the chaos of the entertainment world, adding that she wants to provide him with a normal life away from fame and the nuisance of the entertainment world. Ahlam revealed that she does not mind to have her picture taken or to undergo interviews, because she is a singer, but when it comes to her son she noted that he will not live the same way and will grow up like all other children.–Albawaba.com
