After a several year absence, Egyptian actor Ahmad Al Sakka announced that he will return to acting in the new drama series “Saker 62” (Eagle 62). Director Nader Jalal nominated Ahmad for the role.
According to the London based daily, Alsharq Al Awsat, the television drama will consist of 30 episodes, and will star a number of prominent actors like Hanan Turk, Abla Kamel, Hassan Hussni, Waheed Saif, Izzat Abu Ouf, and Hussein Imam.
The drama tackles the issue of national security and acts of terrorism, which have been spreading rapidly over the past few years. The drama depicts how such acts have affected the economy, tourism, and everyday life in Egypt.
The last drama Ahmad took part in was “Al Zawaj Ala Warak Sulphain” (Marriage on Paper), alongside actress Muna Zaki, which revolved around scandalous secret and unofficial marriages.
Ahmad has decided that “The Italian War” will be his last action movie, due to the numerous injuries he has sustained from stunts he performed while filming.
The actor has insisted on performing his own stunts in different films, and has undergone several surgeries and suffered broken bones as a result.
Ahmad also realized that his action movies are no longer lucrative, acting as an incentive for him to change his style of films.
