Prominent Syrian actor Aiman Zeidan has left the world of game shows to star in a new film "Sowar" (Photographs) produced by "Al Sharq" (Eastern) production company. Syrian director Samir Al Hussain is currently shooting the scenes for the new TV movie that depicts the Palestinian Uprising (Intifada) and the sufferings of the Palestinian people as a result of Israeli occupation and torturing.
The story revolves around a young photographer who documents the brutal occupation through his camera. Throughout his mission to capture all the details, he is shot and killed by Israeli fire and joins the list of matyres.
The film written by Mahmoud Ja'fary will costar Syrian actors Abbas Al Nouri, Nourman Asad, Abdul Rahman Al Rishi, Sabah Obeid, Nadim Salameh, Bassam Lutfi, Abdul Mun'im Amairi, and many others.
On a different note, the Abu Dhabi satellite channel has replaced Zeidan who has been the presenter of the game show Waznak Dahab (Your Weight in Gold) for the past fifteen months with Egyptian actor Nour El Sherif.
Ali Al Ahmad acting manager of Abu Dhabi TV insisted on making the announcement for the change at a press conference in the presence of both actors. Ali said that the change was made to add variety to the show and that it is always a plus for any successful program, adding that the decision did not reflect in any negative way on Ayman for he was the reason behind the success of the show.
Ayman revealed that there were no hard feelings with him leaving the program and a number of other acting commitments forced him to step down, adding that no one had asked him to resign.
Ayman was chosen by the channel a year and a half ago to take the position after Kuwaiti artist Daoud Hussein sent his regrets for not being able to present the program because of commitments to other work. - Albawaba.com
