Amani Swaisi, winner of the television show Star Academy has proven her success through her first album “Ween” (Where), produced by Rotana.
According to the London daily Elaph, Amani said that she wants to take her singing career one step at a time, relying on her voice to be a successful artist.
“I refuse to take off my clothes and use seduction moves in order to reach stardom,” said Amani.
Amani just finished filming a video clip for the song “Ween” (Where) and it will be aired on the music channel Rotana. The song is written by Faris Alexander, composed by Salim Salameh and distributed by Hadi Shararah.
Amani explined that the song “Ween” is very close to her heart and she performed it with honest and true feelings. The clip was directed by Mirna Khayat Abu Al Yas from Lebanon.
Amani said, “I enjoyed working with Mirna, because she’s a very talented director with a unique personality.”
Amani said the idea of the clip is a simple - a man leaves his love behind because he is traveling to another country. Despite being from Tunisia, Amani loves living in Lebanon. She says the lack of security does not bother her anymore, because she considers herself like any other Lebanese citizen living under the same conditions.
Amani has confidence in her voice. She wants people who hear her music to say that she has a beautiful voice, but she does not want to be called sexy.
“I feel very cheap when those who watch my video clips say that I am sexy, because my only aim is to be a successful singer,” explained Amani.
Amani is also preparing for a new album, yet she wants to take her time in choosing the right songs.
