Beirut Song Fest Surprise: Shakira, Celine Dion

The organizers of the Beirut Song Festival have revealed that the two international song stars, Shakira and Celine Dion may be the honoring guests of the 5th session to be held next July in Lebanon, according to the local daily al Anwar. 

One of the festival organizers told the Lebanese daily that the contacts with the Lebanese-Colombian singer Shakira and Canadian singer Celine Dion, have been positive and indicated the possibility for their approval to sing at the event. 

A number of Arab song stars is scheduled to participate in the festival, including, Nabil Sheil, Rashed al Majed (Kuwait), Tunisian singer Thekra, Samira Said (Morocco), Hani Shaker (Egypt), Ragheb Alamah, Assi al Hellani from Lebanon. 

The event which lasts for four weeks, will be held at Oscar Beach Hotel in Kaslik/north of Beirut. The new-opened theater is large enough for 2500 persons – Albawaba.com
