Court finds Hisham Abbas innocent

A Cairo Appeals court has released the verdict in the case against Egyptian singer Hisham Abbas finding him innocent and refusing to implement the requested one month jail sentence and fine of 3 thousand Egyptian pounds.
One of Hisham's neighbors had filed a lawsuit against the singer accusing him of tampering with water pipes in the building and ruining them. Hisham had appealed the case and the court found him innocent of all allegations.
According to the London based weekly, the singer is currently recording the songs for his upcoming album.
Egyptian director Khaled Jalal has confirmed the opening of his new play, “Al Iskafi Malikan” (The Shoeman a King).
The play marks the first theater performance for Hisham, and also stars young Egyptian actors Hannan Turk and Riham Abdul Ghafour. The story, written by Yusry Al Jundi, is an adaptation of the popular folktale ‘A thousand and one nights.’
On a similar note, Jalal plans to begin work on a new film “Abqarino” (Genius). He has nominated Hisham and Muna Shalabi.for the leading roles and the film will be produced by Issam Imam and directed by Samih Abdul Aziz.
The story of the film revolves around a young man who invents a cheap medicine and suddenly finds himself surrounded by the international pharmaceutical mafia.
Hisham has wanted to enter the acting world for some time, but was waiting for the right work.
