Former Egyptian belly dancer Dina returned from Saudi Arabia after performing the Muslim pilgrimage Hajj wearing a Hijab (Headscarf) and announcing an end to her dancing and acting career. A previous decision by the Saudi embassy in Egypt had prohibited Dina from setting foot on Saudi soil but was overridden at the last minute.
The former dancer refused to make any comments to the public isolating herself at her home in Muhandiseen-Egypt with her son Ali, who is from her late husband director Sameh Albajouri, reported the UAE based daily Al Bayan.
Dina had announced before her pilgrimage that she was thinking of putting an end to her career after the recent pornographic scandal she was involved in and finally made the decision while she was in the Mecca.
Dina had fought the decision of banning her from the holy pilgrimage saying that every Muslim should have the opportunity to undergo Hajj and added that God accepts everyone’s penance. The dancer expressed great disappointment adding that God is forgiving and merciful unlike those who make the decisions to forbid people from walking in the right path.
Official reiterated that many dancers like Dina have had the chance to go to Hajj but as soon as they returned they did not refrain from their profession and continued dancing making their pilgrimage go to total loss.
Dina had accompanied her mother to Saudi Arabia to complete the fifth pillar of Islam Hajj. She decided that Hajj would be her only option to runaway from all the controversial and scandalous issues she is currently involved in.
Dina filed a lawsuit against ex-husband Hussam Abu Al Fateh for violating her rights while she was married to him and making pornography films of her without her knowledge. Dina stressed that she intends to take Hussam to court for the fact that it is against the law for a man to film his wife in such indecent circumstance.
Late last year rumors circulated that Dina had left Cairo-Egypt and ran-off to hide away in Paris-France after her involvement in pornographic videotapes was revealed. A number of videotapes were found in Abu Al Fateh's apartment containing obscene and provocative scenes of her.
Egypt's police have arrested a man for selling pornographic videotapes of Dina and her ex-husband at a local newsstand in the neighborhood of Muhandiseen in Cairo-Egypt. Word reached Cairo's police department that copies of the videotapes have spread all over the country and were sold at every corner for as cheap as 100 Egyptian pounds a piece and even less.
Police officers seized all the video store along with over a hundred and fifty copies of Dina's sex films. Owner of the stores and Ramadan are currently under questioning as to how they received the videos of the dancer. –Albawaba.com
