Egyptian censors intervened at the last minute to cut many scenes from an episode of the program Muwajaha Sakhinah (Hot Encounter), in which people connected to the late Suad Hosni went head-to-head.
The episode was dedicated to what the program described as "secrets of Suad Hosni’s death," according to the London-based daily Al Hayat.
Nihal Anbar hosts the program, which was recorded a month and a half ago, involving those concerned with the late actress and her tragic end, including Amr Bayyoumi, Suad Hosni’s nephew, her lawyer, Rushdi Farid, and Nadia Yusri, Hosni’s friend, and in whose London residence the late artist died.
The encounter between the four heated up fast, and saw a stream of abuse that spurred the censors to refuse to air it before omitting many insulting statements.
The dispute over the late artist's reasons for suicide and her condition before death was about to flare into a violent battle on the Egyptian TV screen, but the censors’ intervention prevented such a clash - Albawaba.com
