The Egyptian government to cover medical expenses for Sanaa Jamil’s cancer treatment
The Egyptian government has agreed to cover all medical expenses for ailing actress Sanaa Jamil. Egypt’s Minister of Culture actor Farouq Hosni, who was behind the decision, expressed his determination in helping Sanaa as a sign of appreciation for the great actress and her contribution to Egyptian cinema.
The Egyptian daily, Al Ahram, reported that on December 13, all necessary measures would begin in the process of Sanaa’s treatment. She is to begin chemotherapy sessions under the supervision of Dr. Ashraf D. Muhsain in addition to a large number of specialist.
Doctors at the Al Salam International hospital in Al Muhandiseen-Cairo announced that the actress is suffering from a cancerous tumor in her left lung and immediate treatment needed to be taken to help restore her failing respiratory system.
Sanaa had experienced harsh health conditions while shooting her scenes for the Ramadan series “Abiad x Abiad” (White n White). Upon seeing her condition worsening, her husband admitted her into the hospital after consulting with her present doctor Yahia Said.
