Egyptians against “Wardah Al Jaza’riyah”

Several Egyptian pages posted on the internet website “Facebook” have called for the famous singer Wardah Al Jaza’iryah to be banned from entering Egypt.

During an interview with the Algerian newspaper “Al Nahar” Wardah said that she hopes the Algerian soccer team is victorious over Egypt.

Wardah has faced intense criticism for her comment that she would be upset if the Egyptian soccer team won or even tied the Algerian soccer team.  She has been accused of being disloyal to the country that first recognized her musical talent, before she became popular across the Arab world.
