During a recent press conference and dinner party Elissa signed a new contract with production company ‘Rotana.’
The news was shocking since circulating rumors in the media claimed there were problems between Elissa and ‘Rotana,’ and some attendees mistakenly thought the conference was for Haifa Wahbe.
According to the London daily Elaph, Elissa, who has been absent from the spotlight for some time, appeared collected.
Elissa and the president of ‘Rotana,’ Salem Al- Hindi refused to comment on any conflicts between Elissa and the company.
Al-Hindi said that the new contract includes the production of three new albums for Elissa, and denied that ‘Rotana’ will take a percentage from Elissa’s commercials, since she is a famous face in the advertisement business.
Al-Hindi confirmed that famous Lebanese artists Wael Kfoury and Alameh will not be returning to ‘Rotana.’
Elissa denied there are any conflicts between her and the Lebanese artist Fadel Shaker, and said that she and Fadel are working on filming a new video clip for their new duet together. The clip will be directed by Walid Nasif and Elissa denied that Shaker had asked for the clip to be directed by Saed Al Marouq.
Elissa’s new album will be available in stores during the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr season.
