Lebanese 'Four Cats' held a concert last Wednesday at Dubai’s Hayatt Regency as part of their participation in the UAE Desert Challenge Rally, which concluded yesterday.

According to the UAE daily, Al Bayan, the cats, Dalida Shama'i, Nisreen Zureiq, Natalie Barakat and Maya Diab performed for almost two hours most of their well-known songs, like "Kan Al Zaman" (It was in the Past), "Ya Nasini" (Why Did You Forget Me), "Tal Intizari" (I've been Waiting Long), as well as others. Frequently referred to as the "Arab Spice Girls", the Four Cats began in Lebanon in the late 90s with renewed songs from the Lebanese Folklore.

Early last week, 'cat' Dalida Shama'i, and the Lebanese singer/songwriter Ghassan Elias Rahbani have finally tied the knot after a seven- year engagement, at the Lebanese mountain city of Kurnet Shahwan.

The stars' wedding marked an original and unique event, with Dalida's "strange" wedding dress and Ghassan's informal outfit.

The wedding (which did not witness the attendance of Ghassan's late uncle's wife, Fairuz, and her son) was attended by the entire Rahbani family, as well as former Lebanese President, Amin Jmaiel and his son Pierre Jmaiel. - Albawaba.com
