The Egyptian film “Khaltit Fawzyeh” (Fawzyeh’s Recipe) was produced by Egyptian actress Elham Shaheen and she also plays the leading role.
According to the London daily Elaph, Shaheen received best actress award on both the Abu Dhabi and Damascus film festivals.
Despite the fact that the Egyptian actress Ghada Abed Al Razaq started in the film, yet she was rarely mention and the film was known as “Elham Shaheen’s Recipe”. On the other hand Ghada got very jealous because she wasn’t mentioned often by most press releases and she wanted to let everyone know that she also had a major role in the film.
On her part, Ghada’s office released a memo about Ghada’s role in the film “Khaltit Fawzyeh” and the memo said that Ghada had started in the film which had already received a number of awards and it is also chosen to compete with another 14 films at the Cairo Cinema Film Festival. At the end of the memo Elham Shaheen’s name was mentioned that she also starts in the same film.
Ghada said that she is very happy that the film will be participating at the film festival. Ghada worked with the director Majdi Ahmad Ali for the first time on this new film and she plays the role of a woman who is trying to find a husband because she is becoming a maiden.
The film stars Elham Shaheen, Ghada Abed Al Razaq, Fathi Abed Al Wahab, Izat Abu Oof, Yousif Othman and Hajaj Abed Al Atheem.
The script was written by Hana Atyeh, directed by Majdi Ahmad Ali and produced by Elham Shaheen.
