Renowned director Yousef Shahin chose Ghada Saba as his new assistant director before becoming ill. Saba, a Jordanian actor, theater director and TV announcer, actually worked with Shahin on his film “Sukoot, Hansawwar” (Quiet, We Will Be Shooting) starring the Tunisian singer Latifah in her cinema debut, Al Sharq Al Awsat newspaper said.
Ghada works hand in hand with Shahin’s first assistant and previous student Khaled Yousef in the film, on which Shahin is putting his last touches after a slight improvement in his health.
Yousef is now personally directing films including “Al Asefah” (Thunderstorm), and his second film, “Gawaz Bi Qarar Gmhuri” (Marriage by Presidential Decree) starring Hanan Al Turk and Hani Ramzi, will be shot soon.
Ghada has also worked with the Egyptian director Sharif Shaaban, as an assistant on the film “Firket Banat Wa Bass” (Group of Girls Only).
Awarded “best stage actress” at the 1996 Jordanian Theater Festival, Saba has also written, directed and performed in another play entitled “Wa Law!” - Albawaba.com
