Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi has begun preparations on her third album, and is holding extensive work sessions with poets and composers to choose the right songs. The singer did not reveal whether or not the album will be produced by Rotana, and did not state if she will renew her contract or not.
The past two albums have surprisingly achieved significant success, and the singer’s songs are spreading so fast round the Arab world.
Recently, Haifa appeared in a striking red dress in one of the episodes of her reality television program "The Ranch," without any mention of the designer, although the logo of an ‘eye’ was visible at the lower back of the dress.
Weeks after the episode was broadcast, internationally renowned fashion designer Khaled Al Masri accused Haifa in a press release of wearing one of his dresses without his permission. He had presented the dress in his Paris fashion show under the title "Al Mar’a Wal Doo’" (Woman and Light), and a fashion magazine published a picture of it, as worn by one of the models.
It became apparent that Haifa was wearing the said dress, and Al Masri is demanding a public apology via the Lebanese Broadcasting Company "LBC," the same channel that aired Haifa’s program.
Khaled is known to be one of the most popular fashion designers who usually presents his collection to select aristocratic ladies, and rarely designs for female artists. He had been residing in Milano for a number of years and recently decided to relocate to Lebanon to open a private boutique.
