According to the London daily Elaph, the famous Egyptian singer Hani Shaker held a great concert for the Arab community in Berlin on the last day of “Eid Al Fiter” (Muslim holiday after Ramadan). At the concert he performed some his greatest hits.
As Shaker and his band were at the airport getting ready to travel back to Egypt, Shaker’s music group said this would be the last time they travel with him, due to the tough treatment they received at the airport. Many artists have complained about the way they are treated at airports, particularly because they travel often.
Shaker was surprised to see the Arab-German community was able to sing along to his songs. His musical group was replaced with young Arab musicians living in Germany.
Shaker is working on his upcoming album, to be released soon, but it has yet to be named.
One song from the new album was released during the “Eid,” called “Album Sowar” (Pictures Album). The song was released on the internet and aired on “Mazika” satellite music channel.
Shaker will film a new music video clip for a song from his upcoming album and will include a real actress rather than a model.
Shaker revealed that he will be staring on a new Egyptian television drama series, yet refused to disclose further details.
He also revealed that he is working with the famous Iraqi singer Kathem Al Saher on a new duet, soon to be released.
